Thursday, March 18th  4:00PM-7:00PM   FREE!!

 

Speaking program begins at 5PM with networking before and after.

 

Come hear about the latest efforts involving the NFL's Climate Change Initiative 

as well as the green design features at Gillette Stadium and One Patriots Place.

 

Pro Bowl and Super Bowl 

  • Use of renewable energy to power the stadium on game day
  • Use of biofuels for powering on-site generators at NFL events  
  • Use of hybrid and biodiesel-powered fleet vehicles

Gillette Stadium and One Patriots Place

  • How green design standards are used during tenant build-out
  • How sustainability guidelines improve operational efficiency for tenants

…measures, which, in effect, "push green down the supply chain"  for true

market transformation to occur.

Jack Groh, Director, Environmental Program, National Football League

Kevin Slein, Director of Stadium Site Operations, Gillette Stadium

Jack Groh is Director of the National Football League’s Environmental Program and has worked on Super Bowl since 1993. He has been involved in environmental projects for the US Department of Energy, Argonne National Laboratory, the Northeast Sustainable Energy Association, the American Solar Energy Society, the State of Rhode Island, the National Clean Cities Coalition and the United States Consortium for Automotive Research. He has also worked on a number of environmental projects sponsored by General Motors, Ford Motor Company and Chrysler.

 

Price is free; $5 donation optional. Nonalcoholic drinks will be served.
